Infant

your baby's second home

Leaving your baby is the hardest thing you'll do this year. We know. We do everything we can to make it the right decision — secure attachment, individualized care, daily photos and updates, and teachers who treat your baby like their own grandchild.

On your schedule
your baby's day

There is no schedule. There is your baby.

Infants don't follow group routines. They follow their own bodies — and we follow them. Feed, change, play, sleep, repeat. As often as your baby needs.

On demand

Feeding

Breast milk you send (refrigerated and labeled), formula you provide, or whatever schedule you've established. We follow your lead exactly.

As needed

Diaper changes

Logged in real-time on Brightwheel so you always know the last time. Diaper rash cream applied per your instructions.

Multiple per day

Sleep

Each baby has their own crib. Back-to-sleep, no loose blankets, white noise if it helps. We do not wake sleeping babies.

Daily

Tummy time

Multiple supervised sessions throughout the day. Critical for neck strength and motor development.

Daily

Sensory play

Soft textures, gentle music, mirrors, infant-safe toys. Frog Street infant curriculum — songs, fingerplays, lap reading.

Weather permitting

Outdoor time

Stroller walks around the property, time in the shade on a blanket, fresh air every day Texas weather allows.

All day

Holding

Babies are held. Period. Not propped in bouncers. Held by teachers who know which way you like them rocked.

development at this age

What we focus on with the littlest learners

Babies don't "learn" in the way a Pre-K kid does. But their brains are growing faster now than they ever will again. We honor that.

🤱

Secure attachment

Consistent caregivers, eye contact, responsive comfort. The foundation of every other thing they'll ever learn.

  • Primary caregiver assignment
  • Responsive to every cry
  • Held, rocked, talked to constantly
👁️

Sensory exploration

Sound, texture, light, motion. Their world is brand new. We make sure they get to experience it.

  • Music and singing daily
  • Soft and varied textures
  • Mirrors and visual tracking
  • Lots of conversation
💪

Motor milestones

Rolling, sitting, crawling, pulling up, walking. We celebrate every single one — and document them so you don't miss a thing.

  • Daily tummy time
  • Floor play and movement
  • Photos and updates sent home

What you'll see this year

Every baby is different. These are the milestones we love watching unfold together.

Lifting their headStrong tummy-time foundation
Rolling overBoth directions, eventually
First smile, first laughWe catch them on Brightwheel
Sitting independentlyAround 6-8 months for most
First solid foodsOn your timeline, with your foods
CrawlingOr scooting. Both count.
Pulling up to standHand-over-hand around furniture
First words"Mama," "dada," and one we'll all argue about
First stepsOften around 11-13 months
TrustIn you. In us. In a world that's safe.
our infant ratio
1 : 4

Texas minimum is 1:4 for infants. Ours matches that — and we keep classroom sizes small so each baby gets the consistent caregiver attachment they need.

what's next

Around their first birthday, they transition to Toddler

When your baby is walking confidently and ready for group routines, they'll move up to the Toddler room. We plan the transition together — with overlap visits, slow ramp-ups, and zero rush.

Come meet your baby's teachers

Bring the carrier. We'll hold them. You'll see the room. Tour anytime.
