One of the first things families notice about Grace is what they don’t see.
Drive past most preschools and you’ll spot it from the road: a large, bright sign announcing a building full of young children. We made a different choice. You won’t find Grace shouting its name across a marquee — because the same sign that markets a school also advertises exactly where the children are. We chose privacy over promotion: a quieter exterior, solid fencing, and controlled access, so the people who belong here know where we are, and everyone else has no reason to look twice.
For some of our families, that discretion matters more than most. Grace is entrusted with children whose parents lead public lives — the kind that keep them in the spotlight whether they wish to be or not — and for whom genuine privacy is rare. Here, their children are simply children: known by name, learning and playing behind a fence no one can see through. It is precisely this privacy, discretion, safety, and anonymity that these families value most in Grace. And it is not a premium reserved for a few — it is how we care for every child who walks through our doors.
We’ll say it plainly: Grace has one of the finest preschool playgrounds in Aledo. It’s the kind of space most schools would put on display behind decorative iron fencing for everyone driving by to admire. We chose the opposite. Grace’s playground is wrapped in tall, solid board-on-board privacy fencing you cannot see through — because the same open iron fencing that shows off a playground also shows off the children playing in it. So the one thing we’d most love to show off is the one thing we deliberately keep private. Our families see it in full on a tour; passersby don’t see it at all. That’s a trade we’ll make every time: privacy and safety over marketing.

Entry is credentialed and role-based, with a full audit trail — the class of access system you’d expect from a school district, not a storefront daycare. Every entry is logged, and no stranger simply walks in. That same control extends to the most important moment of the day: every child is checked in and out through Brightwheel, so a child is released only to a verified, authorized adult — and every hand-off is recorded. Who comes in, and who a child goes home with, are both accounted for.
Texas doesn’t require a preschool to have cameras, and many don’t have them at all. Of the few that do, most stop at a handful of video-only cameras. Grace goes considerably further: comprehensive 4K video and audio coverage across the property — everywhere except where a child’s privacy must be protected, like restrooms and changing areas. That fuller coverage lets us do something more valuable than look back; it lets us stay ahead — holding our staff to the highest standard of care, sharpening our training, and protecting every child in the building. Going this far was optional, and it was expensive. To us, it was essential.
Grace is fire-sprinklered inside and out — not just indoors, but across the property: every breezeway, patio, and entrance. Full interior-and-exterior suppression costs considerably more than the indoor-only system most facilities install. We chose it anyway. When the decision is safety versus cost, we’ve made the same call every time. Almost no one ever notices. We did it anyway.

Every Grace classroom is fitted with antimicrobial and antibacterial lighting — technology that works quietly and continuously to help reduce germs and bacteria on surfaces and in the air. It’s the kind of unseen investment we’d be surprised to find in any other childcare facility. You’ll never notice it working — which is rather the point.
Grace meets or exceeds Texas HHSC Minimum Standards for every age group and welcomes unannounced state inspections. Parents receive real-time Brightwheel updates through the day, and founder Dawn Wright is on campus every day — accountability a franchise or an absentee owner simply can’t offer.
