Privacy Policy

Grace Learning Tree is a small, family-owned preschool in Aledo, Texas. We collect only the information we need to respond to your inquiries and serve our families well — nothing more. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you visit our website, the only personal information we collect is what you choose to share with us directly. Specifically:

• Tour requests & contact forms. When you fill out a form to schedule a tour or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, your child’s first name, and your child’s age. We may also collect any notes or questions you choose to share.
• Job applications. If you apply for a position through our Careers page, we collect your name, email, phone number, the position you’re applying for, your experience, and a brief cover note. You may then send your resume to a separate email address we provide.
• Basic website analytics. Our website host (Netlify) records anonymous traffic data — things like how many people visited a page and which browser they used. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

How we use it

We use the information you share with us to:

• Respond to your tour request, question, or job application
• Send you information about our programs, enrollment openings, and tour scheduling
• Improve our website and the way we communicate with prospective families

That’s it. We don’t use your information for anything you wouldn’t expect us to.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
• We do not rent or trade your information with marketing partners.
• We do not run advertising on our website or share your data with ad networks.
• We do not track you across other websites.

Brightwheel (for enrolled families)

If your child is enrolled at Grace, we use Brightwheel to communicate with you about your child’s day — photos, milestones, schedule updates, and billing. Brightwheel is a separate service with its own privacy policy and security practices. The information shared through Brightwheel is governed by Brightwheel’s privacy policy, available on their website.

How we protect your information

Our website is hosted on Netlify and served over a secure HTTPS connection, which means the data you send to us through our forms is encrypted in transit. We store contact information only for as long as we reasonably need it to respond to you and follow up on your inquiry.

Inside our school, we follow common-sense practices: family information is kept private among staff who need it, paper records are stored securely, and digital records are accessible only to authorized administrators.

Your rights

You have the right to know what information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it’s wrong, and to ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, simply email us at ask@gracelearningtree.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

If you previously signed up to receive emails from us and want to stop, just reply to any email and tell us — we’ll remove you immediately.

Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Your browser may store small technical files (such as those that remember whether you closed a banner) but these contain no personal information.

Links to other websites

Our website includes links to other sites — Brightwheel, the Frog Street curriculum site, community partners and charities we support. Once you click through to those sites, their own privacy policies apply. We don’t control them.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, let our enrolled families know directly. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
